Clothes

We will be closing the Clothes Closet until further notice, due to the risk of coronavirus. We will respond to emergency requests only. Examples of an emergency situation would be a client who has lost their clothing in a fire or a woman who does not have clothing because she is escaping a domestic violence situation.

Many of our volunteers are potentially in a higher-risk age group, so we feel it’s better to be safe than sorry. Also, we will not be accepting donations during this time, since there will be very little distribution and we are already overstocked with donations.

Our Clothes Closet is located in facilities provided by Vienna Presbyterian Church at Vienna Court Condos, 133 Park St. NE, Vienna, VA, 22180; it is accessible by public transportation.

Our most pressing clothing (and food!) needs at the moment are shown here. For those considering making a large clothing donation, please review our donation guidelines here.

The Clothes Closet maintains regular service hours from the Monday after Labor Day until the Monday before Memorial Day. We are open from 9:30 am to noon on Mondays. The Clothes Closet is not open on federal holidays and when Fairfax County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather.

We have a continuing need for in-season, quality, used clothing. Donations are accepted every Monday that we’re open; clothing is distributed to clients on each of those Mondays except the first Monday of the month. To make an appointment to drop off donations at other times, please call us at 703-679-8966 , or email us at cho.clothes.closet@gmail.com. (Donations that are not needed by CHO clients are passed on to other charitable organizations.)
