Food Closet

We are currently accepting food donations. Our current needs are:

• cooking oil

• peanut butter

• lots of kids snacks (fruit bars and cookies)

• laundry detergent and toothpaste

Please call 703-281-7614 and leave a message in box 1 to schedule an appointment to drop off donations.

Volunteers needed: Our final part of the very large donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints will be ready for pickup on Saturday, July 27. Volunteers will gather at VPC at 2 pm that afternoon to quickly unload the truck and move the food into the Food Closet. Volunteers are welcome to call 703-281-7614 Box # 1 or Box # 5.

Clothes Closet

Men: all sizes athletic shoes; shirts and pants, small, medium and large

Women: tops, all sizes, athletic shoes

Children: athletic wear

Other: bedding and towels, kitchen utensils, dishes, bowls, pans, car seats, strollers, children’s toys

Furniture Program

• mattresses and bed frames (no king size please)
• dressers
• tables and chairs
• regular size sofas

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels: Drivers are needed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Food is picked up at VPC about 10:15; delivery takes about 1 hour. Contact George Bergquist, 703-727-5846 , gwb0745@gmail.com for more information. To determine current driver needs, also contact George.
