In general, CHO cannot take medical items. To donate medical items:

Food Closet

We are currently accepting food donations. Our current needs are:

cooking oil
pasta
powdered milk
bar soap
laundry detergent
dish soap
spaghetti sauce
2lb bags of white rice
size 6 diapers

Please call 703-281-7614 and leave a message in box 1 to schedule an appointment to drop off donations.

Volunteers needed: Our final part of the very large donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints will be ready for pickup on Saturday, July 27. Volunteers will gather at VPC at 2 pm that afternoon to quickly unload the truck and move the food into the Food Closet. Volunteers are welcome to call 703-281-7614 Box # 1 or Box # 5.

Clothes Closet (including kitchenware)

Men: Pants and Jeans, sizes 29-38; and Shirts, spring & summer, all sizes
Boys: 0-12 months, 3t and 4t
Girls: 3t and 4t
Kitchenware: dishes, bowls, pots and pans, glasses, utensils

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels: Drivers are needed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Food is picked up at VPC about 10:15; delivery takes about 1 hour. Contact George Bergquist, 703-727-5846 , gwb0745@gmail.com for more information. To determine current driver needs, also contact George.
