“塞滿巴士”

Rebecca Huffman and Carolyn Mysel spent Saturday (1/31) at the Oakton Giant overseeing “Stuff the Bus” – a program set up by the Department of Neighborhood & Community Services of Fairfax County. Shoppers were very supportive and the project was a big success!

Many thanks to all the volunteers who turned helped, including:

  • Students from the Madison (HS) Volunteer Program, who spread the word about CHO and what we do and helped us collect 36 boxes of food and $511.84 in cash donations for food; they also helped unload the bus and unpack the boxes back at the CHO food closet.
  • Two Fairfax County Human Services women we work with during the year, who showed up unannounced to help.
  • The fellows who drive the Fastran buses, who helped all day and who don’t get paid for this project.
