Food

We provide “emergency” food, not long-term food service. Donations of grocery store gift certificates are always welcome and are used for the purchase of items for those with special dietary needs and infant formula. We also accept donations of canned food.

Our most pressing food (and clothing!) needs at the moment are shown here.

Please note, the Food Closet is unstaffed.  If you want to pick up food , you must make an appointment; call 703-281-7614 and leave a message in box 1 or send an email to cho@cho-va.com.  Please include your home address in any communication; unfortunately, we can only serve clients within our service area of Vienna, Oakton, Dunn Loring, and Merrifield, VA.

Similarly, if you want to drop off donation please contact us at the same phone number (703-281-7614, box 2) or send an email to cho-va.com.

The Food Closet Closet is located in facilities provided by Vienna Presbyterian Church at Vienna Court Condos, 133 Park St. NE, Vienna, VA, 22180; it is accessible by public transportation.

During the Christmas season, the Food Chairman arranges for adoptions for some needy families in our area and sets up a gift and food certificate program for others. This is accomplished with the support of many organizations, churches, schools and businesses. If you would like to help us with this program, see our phone number and email address listed above.
